Remember, you can use the Dollar General app IN STORE to verify prices. Once you’re in the store, open the app & scan the item you’re interested in to see the current price at your local store.
It’s best to go as soon as possible. It’s not a sale, rather it’s a liquidation. The items are not supposed to still be on the shelf. Do not ask employees about these items. It is the job of the employees to remove the penny items from the shelf. We only score these items for a penny because the employees failed to remove them from the shelf. Once you ask them, they are no longer obligated to sell them to you. However, if they are in your cart or in your hand they must sell them to you. If you wait to long to shop, you risk other shoppers beating you to the items & you also risk employees removing them from the shelf.
